JLS Yacht Training Institute is a Recognized Training Centre (RTC) established to deliver the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) suite of courses. The RYA was established in 1875 to try to make water users safer. Our training facility is the Leader in pleasure and light commercial training in the Middle east.
We are ASACERT ISO 9001 Certified
It is JLS policy to establish, maintain and continually improve a Quality Management System that comply with ISO 9001:2015 requirements which cover all operations of JLS and applies to all its personnel.

Depending on the course being delivered our class sizes range from 12:1 for First Aid and STCW courses, down to a maximum 3:1 per course during powerboat training. This allows maximum interaction between Instructor and student. This complies with both legislation and ensures learning is taking place. Ensuring the student fully understands the syllabus and content being delivered.
Our JLS Team
All of our instructors are trained by our in house Train the Trainer or invited Trainers and are certified by a UK Accredited Awarding Body. We are audited annually by an inspector from the UK. We also have a Robust Internal Quality Assurance Policy.
