LEVEL 3 EMERGENCY PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID (Highfield International)
The Highfield Level 3 International Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid is a qualification developed by Highfield, the Middle East’s leading supplier of compliance-based qualifications. The
qualification developed by Highfield has been designed with sector experts specifically for international learners who wish to become paediatric first aiders. It has taken into account recognised best-practice principles of paediatric first aid and covers areas such as understanding the role of paediatric first aider; being able to assess an emergency situation; and providing first aid to a child or infant. The qualification provides an excellent basis for international learners who may wish to undertake further first aid qualifications.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
This qualification is usually achieved by taking a one-day classroom-based course with a minimum contact time of 6 hours.
How is the qualification assessed?
This qualification is assessed by two methods:
1. practical observation
2. centre marked multiple choice theory assessment. This theory assessment will be via a series of multiple-choice questions, which can be a written assessment or conducted orally by the assessor.

On successful completion of this qualification, learners may wish to continue their development by undertaking one of the following qualifications:
- Highfield Level 3 International Award in Paediatric First Aid, the Use of an AED and Managing illness and injury
- Highfield Level 3 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
